A compressed air is the result of reducing the air to about 1/8 of its original volume while increasing its pressure. When air is packed in a particular space, its pressure increases which then creates an energy that can be harnessed as power.

This compressed air power is useful in a variety of ways. It is utilized in many industries and fields such as manufacturing, transportation, and construction. This process is also beneficial in hospitals, homes, and other commercial establishments.

Pneumatic tools or air compressor devices are used to generate condensed or compressed air. They are especially useful in manufacturing and production plants as well as in construction and industrial facilities. Large project and tasks like grinding, sandblasting and painting are made a lot easier with air compressors.

Compressed air is also present in different breathing and life support apparatuses. Diving cylinders for example, allow divers to breathe underwater. It functions by storing and transporting pressured breathing air.

Similarly, compressed air is also common in many homes. There are plenty of simple yet efficient air compressor devices especially designed for home use. Popular tools include staplers, nail guns, and spray guns. Appliances such as refrigerators and air conditioners also use compressed air.
